The wood for our products comes 100% from FSC-certified, responsible forestry and forest management. This means that the outer material is 100% recyclable
• Even in heavy rain, the contents of your backpack stay dry thanks to the water-repellent coating of the kraft paper
• The "STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX" seal underlines the high quality of this material
• Backpack applications made from vegan brown leather. There is a great deal of innovation in this leather - because it is practically indistinguishable from the beautiful structure and feel of real leather
• The backpack is easy to open and close thanks to the roll-up and magnetic closure. With the adjustable buckle on the strap (brass-colored) you can lengthen the strap - depending on whether you need to carry more or less in your KRAFT
• Reinforced, padded backpack back and bottom - so the backpack stays upright when you put it down
• Slim shoulder straps with high wearing comfort (adjustable)
• Secret pocket in the back of the rucksack stores keys or wallet securely but easily accessible
• Robust canvas inner fabric
• Padded notebook compartment inside (fits up to 13.3 inches)
• Inner pocket with zipper keeps keys, cell phone or make-up safe and easily accessible
• If you need to take a lot with you, the KRAFT offers you the necessary flexibility: thanks to the zipper, you don't necessarily have to roll up the KRAFT to stow your things safely. This gives you storage space of up to 15 liters, an interior height of up to 46 cm and an interior diagonal of up to 53 cm (i.e. an elongated object of more than half a meter in length fits in your KRAFT)

Why aren't the Fitz & Huxley shoulder straps padded? Don't they cut in?

We combine design and everyday functionality with our backpacks. We designed the shoulder straps so that they are as inconspicuous as possible and fit so well into your outfit. At the same time, the woven material is soft and thick so that the shoulder straps do not cut in even when the backpack is fully loaded. Thousands of satisfied Fitz & Huxley rucksack fans have tested this.

Why do you produce in India and not in Germany? Aren't workers exploited there?

It is true that poor working conditions, exploitation and child labor still exist in poor India. But the prejudice does not adequately describe reality. India is in a process of change, of which we and our production partners understand each other. In order to ensure our high requirements, our production is certified with the renowned SEDEX and SA8000 standards. These ensure, among other things, fair wages and the possibility of unionization as well as good occupational health and safety measures. About 140 people and their families can make a good living from the production for Fitz & Huxley and we can offer our customers very high quality products at an affordable price, unlike if we were producing in Germany.
